Yes, this has been asked for (related bugs are #183524,  #189020) but 
FTP maintainers seem not to be doing it for some unknown reason. You 
can find backported packages for newer releases for woody at 
http://people.debian.org/~jfs/nessus/ (which reminds me I have not 
uploaded 2.0.10a packages, which I'm doing now)

I'm really sorry this situation has not been corrected yet, as I have 
repeteadly asked for this to be fixed. I will keep insisting.
