nessus-update-plugins: verifing successful updates?

I note that for a while now we've been seeing:

An unknown HTTP error occured (http error code: -1207955476)
Could not retrieve the Nessus plugins

It worked once one day last week, but is otherwise mostly failing.  Any
idea what the problem might be?
