NESSUS Returned Empty Report

Nessus Technical Support: 

I am attempting to run a NESSUS scan on a LAN server however each time I
attempt the scan I receive a "NESSUS returned an empty report" error.  I
disabled "Ping" in the scanners section and reran the scan however I
received the same error.  What can I do to prevent this error and perform a
successful scan?
