RedHat Linux 9 Installation Problem

I'm having problem installing Nessus on RH 9. Logged in as root, when I try
to install the Nessus Libraries, after running the command "make",

I get the following error:

 

"gcc: hlst.lo: No such file or directory"

 

Any ideas?
