update-nessusrc would never generate that message; only nessus when you
actually launch a scan. 

Given that you're running update-nessusrc in debug mode, I wonder
whether you realize that the config file isn't actually updated by the
script.  That is, in debug mode, changes are not actually put in place;
instead, updates are saved to a scratch copy of the config file.
