Nessus user passwords

Does nessus/nessusd support special characters in user passwords?  I 
created a user with special characters in the password, but it kept 
failing when logging into the server.  I finally tried a simple dummy 
password, and it worked.

I don't know if this is an issue with Nessus or perhaps my terminal isn't 
sending across the special characters in the password correctly (happens 
with Samba), so I wanted to check.  Thanks.
