While a crontab and batch file may work for a short term solution, you may 
wish to look into a more robust or long term solution.

One suggestion is Inprotect ( http://www.inprotect.com ) which can utilize 
your Nessus server and set up unattended and/or recurring vulnerability 
scans.

I know this is an easy question, but what do I need to do to run a scan at 

a certain time of the day . I want to schedule a scan to run when I am 
away 
from the office such as nightly ?. What commands do I need to do ? script 
? 
Any help would be appreciated for this newb :)
