this happened to me when i changed the 'logfile' line in nessusd.conf from 
the default to 'syslog'.  when i restored the default (and 
stopped/restarted nessusd), the nmap_wrapper.nes process completed 
normally (progress bar incremented normally, etc.)

Hello,

Did you figure this out?  After I installed Nessus, I was able to do a 
successful port scan once.  But then it stopped working (the port scan 
progress bar never starts).  Sounds like same results as you.  But if I 
run nmap, that works.  Any answers?
