Package gtk+-2.0 was not found

Trying to install Nessus on a new RedHat Enterprise 3.0 system.  Not
too familiar with gtk, but on my system I have gtk2-2.2.4-12 and
gtk+-1.2.10-31:1.

Sounds like I need gtk+-2.  I guess I'll have to get that directly
from gtk.org, since it doesn't seem to be distributed through RedHat. 
Will the newest version be ok? gtk+-2.6.0.tar.gz
