Timeouts

I was kind of hoping someone could help me with this by now.

In the nessusd.conf file, there are 2 settings for timeouts, 1 being for
plugin timeouts set to 320 seconds by default the other being a
checks_read_timeout set to 5 by default.

Does any of these 2 settings change the timeout of the port scanner, so it
doesn’t hang for so long against targets that are not responding?

If not either of these settings, could you please tell me which setting it
is or if I have to add 1.
