Problem with compilation of NASL

I have thus far attempted to compile it with every known directory I
have that would point to openssl, and so far it has not worked. I even
attempted to point it directly where it needed to go, and it has still
managed to not pick up the proper includes and libraries.

Did you compile this without MD2 / MD4 support (ie, "./config --no-md2
--no-md4")? Or do you have another instance of libcrypt that was built
in that way? [Look in the usual directories as well as those reported
when you run "nessus-config --libs".]
