DoS attack

If you perform destructive testing, there is no guarantee that the
system you're performing the tests on will survive the attack. They may
in fact crash if they are found vulnerable to the particular attack that
Nessus is initiating. Using nondestructive testing will find holes, and
you can upgrade the software to prevent the attacks. Nessus does give
false positives sometimes, but you can use it to guide your upgrade
path.
