The antivirus plugins currently get their information only from checks
of remote registry; thus, they require that the remote host be running
Windows and that Nessus has sufficient credentials to read the remote
registry. So...

- Is Symantec Antivirus running on a Windows host?

- Have you verified that Nessus can successfully connect to the remote
registry on the machine in question?

- Which specific Symantec product / version is not being detected?
